Switching managers

Frustrated With Your Current Property Manager?

Most owners do not leave over the fee. They leave because they stopped being able to find out what was happening to their own property.

If any of these sound familiar

Hard to reach

Calls go to voicemail, emails go unanswered, and you find out about problems after they cost money.

Unexpected fees

Charges you did not know existed, on a statement that does not explain them.

Maintenance is too expensive

Invoices that seem high, with no estimate beforehand and no second quote.

Repairs take too long

Weeks between a resident reporting something and anyone attending.

Poor statements

Late, unclear, or impossible to reconcile against what actually happened.

Too many vacancies

A property that sits while a listing goes stale.

No inspection photos

You have not seen the inside of your property since you handed over the keys.

Tenant problems you hear about last

Issues that have been running for months before they reach you.

Let Us Review Your Current Management Agreement

Send us the agreement. We will tell you plainly what your notice period is, what termination costs, whether there are transfer obligations, and whether switching is actually worth it for your situation. If it isn't, we will say so.

How a transition works

  1. 1

    We read your agreement first

Before anything else. Your existing contract governs what is possible and when — we work within it, always.

  2. 2

You give notice on your terms

You control the timing and the notice. We can help you understand it, but the decision and the notice are yours.

  3. 3

    Records and funds transfer

Leases, applications, inspection history, deposit accounting, keys and resident contact details are requested and reconciled.

  4. 4

    Residents are introduced properly

Your residents receive a clear introduction, new payment instructions and portal access. A messy handover is how good residents become former residents.

  5. 5

    We document current condition

An inspection at takeover establishes the baseline, so what happens next is measured from a known starting point.

Masons Property Management can help coordinate a management transition subject to the terms of your existing management agreement. We are not your attorney and we do not provide legal advice about your contract. We will never advise you to breach an agreement you have signed.
